Graeme Halford is Professor of Psychology at the University
of Queensland, Australia. He conducts research on cognitive development
and adult cognitive processes, and is especially interested in the role
of learning and information processing limitations in shaping children's
cognitions. He has published extensively and is currently working on a
Parallel Distributed Processing model of analogical reasoning and is exploring
the implications of the model for processing capacity limitations in adults
and children. He is a Fellow of the American Psychological Society, a Fellow
of the Australian Psychological Society, and a Fellow of Academy of the
